At the front of the shop, Steph has installed a ‘Stitch Bar’. Designed and made by local artist Paul Ware, it makes for a perfect venue, meeting place to hang out with friends and stitch, crochet, knit, create, and watch the passing traffic.  Our next Stitch Bar session will be:

Heat Pack in Wool Felt

We love summer holidays – we fill them with fun activities – bike riding, surfing, jogging along the beach, walking…

Why not take a break and come in from all that sunshine to make this lovely heat pack – its quick, its easy, its colourful, and its simply beautiful.

Cheryl will show you how to make this ideal remedy/project for treating aching muscles after all those fun summer activities. Haha!

From Rag Rug to Rag Bag

We’ve been having a great time making rag rugs with Sam. NOW its time to up your skills and go up the sides to make your rag rug into a RAG BAG! It’s a little bit different, it’s a little bit colourful, it’s a little bit crazy but it’s totally useful. Join Sam to learn how to make this bag using basic crochet stitches.

Rag Rug

Zakka Pincushion

Zakka has been described as “the art of seeing the savvy in the ordinary and mundane”. Create your Zakka by using a little bit of favourite fabric, a little scrap of linen, a little strip of crazy trim, a little bright embroidery thread and viola! It’s a pincushion – ZAKKA style.
