As You Like It Quilt
Make this quilt as Subtle or LOUD as you like!
Daiva’s workshop for this quilt in October was a resounding success. We have had many requests to have it included in the 2010 line up, so we are offering a Thursday or Friday workshop in the first half of the year. Be sure to book your space early.
Daiva’s spectacular quilt uses a beautiful feature fabric as a recurring theme throughout. Lesson one will be centred around using colour and design. Which block designs will you select? Start sewing your blocks in class and then in lesson two there will be “show and tell” and decide what your final design layout will be. “As You Like It” is full of big, simple blocks so it will go together in a flash. This will be a very social class with lots of round table discussion. This is no Ordinary Sampler Quilt!

The Medallion Border Quilt with Daiva Ceicys
Block of the month? Been there, done that!! But, what about a Border of the Month? Over five monthly lessons you will watch your stunning medallion quilt grow. Learn new techniques and if there is a “labour saving device” for any job, Daiva will be sharing her tips on how to use them to get accurate and efficient results quickly. All piecing will be done by machine, but you may choose to learn hand or machine appliqué. Do you sometimes find selecting fabrics a bit confusing?, Don’t worry! Daiva has simplified the fabric requirements by using one of Moda’s gorgeous charm packs, a jelly roll and a few coordinating fabrics. The result will be a beautifully blended quilt, that grows easily……just a “border a month”! Finished quilt measures 200cm (80 in.) square.
